- Doane College - is a private liberal arts college in Crete, Nebraska, United States, with additional campuses located in Lincoln and Grand Island. It was founded in 1872 as a Congregational institution by Thomas Doane, chief civil engineer of the Burlington and Missouri River Railroad.
