- CSCW Evaluation in Five Types - One of the potentially confusing aspects of evaluation within computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW) is that there are many activities one might wish to carry out at different times that evaluate socio-technical systems. I identify five ideal types: the effects of a new computer system in an organisation; the formative development of a piece of software; the evaluation of conceptual developments; the evaluation of a cooperative system where factors other than the computers are more interesting; and the determination of which piece of software to buy.
- Cornell University Library - Evaluating Research Materials - Guidance on critical analysis of information sources, distinguishing scholarly and nonscholarly periodicals, and evaluating web sites.
- New Directions for Program Evaluation at the U.S. Department of Education - The Secretary's Conference on Educational Technology discusses recent changes in evaluation practices and evaluations for new visions of technology teaching and learning.
- The 2001 NIST Speaker Recognition Evaluation - The 2001 NIST Speaker Recognition evaluation is part of an ongoing series of yearly evaluations conducted by NIST. These evaluations provide an important contribution to the direction of research efforts and the calibration of technical capabilities. They are intended to be of interest to all researchers working on the general problem of text independent speaker recognition. To this end the evaluation was designed to be simple, to focus on core technology issues, to be fully supported, and to be accessible.
- Kathy Schrock's Guide for Educators - Critical Evaluation Surveys - A series of website evaluation surveys, one each at the elementary, middle, and secondary school levels, plus many links of website evaluation.
- An Educators' Guide to Credibility and Web Evaluation - Paper/course written in 1999 with a 2002 update. Covers why evaluate, methods of evaluation, and why and how to teach it in the schools.
- Web Page Evaluation Worksheet - Checklist used to grade web sites.
- Evaluating Interactive Multimedia - Shauna McKenna's paper for the Open Learning Institute on evaluating the materials used in computer based learning and evaluating the learning itself.
- eVALUEd - Project based at the University of Central England to develop a transferable evaluation model for e-library developments, which began in December 2001 and completed in May 2004. There is a link to the evaluation toolkit from the homepage.

- Evaluation function - An evaluation function, also known as a heuristic evaluation function or static evaluation function, is a function used by game-playing programs to estimate the value or goodness of a position in the minimax and related algorithms. The evaluation function is typically designed to be fast and accuracy is not a concern (therefore heuristic); the function ...
- Formative evaluation - Formative evaluation is a type of evaluation which has the purpose of improving programmes. It goes under other names such as developmental evaluation and implementation evaluation.
- Evaluation of machine translation - Various methods for the evaluation for machine translation have been employed. This article will focus on the evaluation of the output of machine translation, rather than on performance or usability evaluation.
- Evaluation approaches - Evaluation approaches are conceptually distinct ways of thinking about, designing and conducting evaluation efforts. Many of the evaluation approaches in use today make truly unique contributions to solving important problems, while others refine existing approaches in some way.
- Evaluation strategy - In computer science, an evaluation strategy is a set of (usually deterministic) rules for determining the evaluation of expressions in a programming language. Emphasis is typically placed on functions or operators — an evaluation strategy defines when and in what order the arguments to a function are evaluated, when they are substituted into the function, and what form that substitution takes.
