- Grey-necked Rockfowl - The Grey-necked Rockfowl, Picathartes oreas also known as Grey-necked Picathartes breeds in southern Cameroon, northern Nigeria and neighbouring areas of central Africa. It has grey upperparts and throat.
- Grey area - A grey area [is a term for a border in-between two or more things that is unclearly defined, a border that is hard to define or even impossible to define, or a definition where the distinction border tends to move. There are several flavors of grey areas:
- Grey triggerfish - The grey triggerfish (Balistes capriscus) is a triggerfish of Eastern Atlantic areas. It is found from Mediterranean to Angola, and Nova Scotia to Argentina.
- Grey brotula - The grey brotula or orange cuskeel, Bidenichthys consobrinus, is a cusk eel of the genus Bidenichthys, found around northern New Zealand from shallow depths to about 25 m, in rock pools and reef areas of broken rock. Their length is between 4 and 6 cm.
- Grey moray - The grey moray, Gymnothorax nubilus, is a moray eel of the genus Gymnothorax, found around the offshore islands off Northland and the Bay of Plenty on the North Island of New Zealand at depths down to 50 m, in reef areas of broken rock. Their length is between 40 and 100 cm.
