- Library and Information Studies Resources - Created by Rutgers Libraries, this site offers a useful overview of library and information studies resources on the Internet. Although some information is directly related to the School of Communication, Information and Library Studies at Rutgers, there is substantial content of interest to all. There are extensive lists of electronic journals and newsletters, and electronic texts relating to the profession, as well as Internet subject guides, links to library schools in the U.S. and Canada, to a variety of listservs, and to libraries, consortia and professional organizations. There are also significant resources in three specific subject areas: digital library projects, copyright, and young adult and children's literature.
- Introduction to Library and Information Studies - University of Texas at Austin course on the orientation to library organization, types of libraries, classification systems, library terminology, duties of library personnel, history of libraries, and current issues in library service, with particular emphasis on intellectual freedom issues, technological resources, and the role of the Internet and the virtual library in the Information Age.
- Rhode Island Library Association - A professional association of librarians, library staff, library trustees, and library supporters whose purpose is to promote the profession of librarianship and to improve the visibility, accessibility, responsiveness, and effectiveness of library and information services throughout Rhode Island.
- Prince William Public Library System - The official site for the public library system in Prince William County, Virginia. It includes Children and Teen pages, the Library's special information centers, the Library Foundation and Library Board pages, Friends of the Library and Volunteer information.
- Simmons Libraries - Includes six branches: Archives, Beatley Library, Career Resource Library, Graduate School of Library and Information Science Library, Graduate School of Management Library, and Graduate School of Social Work Library.
- Mina Rees Library (City University of New York Graduate Center) - Supports the academic programs offered at The Graduate Center by providing resources needed for course work, and preparation for qualifying exams. While the Library is neither designed nor maintained as a research library, the library aims to facilitate access to its print and electronic collections and to those of seventeen other CUNY Libraries, the Research Libraries of the New York Public Library, and other scholarly collections.
- Bowling Green State University Libraries - Federal selective depository library since 1933 and Ohio state depository since 1953. Federal materials include all census reports since 1790, U.S. treaties, and many areas of current interest. Rare book archives include the Ockuly Franklin D. Roosevelt collection (1914-1980). Other holdings include: the Historical Collections of the Great Lakes, the Music Library and Sound Recordings Archives, the Popular Culture Library, and the collections of Ogg Science Library. - Internet resources for Library and Information Studies - Created by the University of South Australia Library, this site is a general resource guide for library and information studies. The major focus is on professional resources (as opposed to reference sources) in the following categories: useful starters (that is, similar resource guides), electronic journals, databases, professional organizations, library and information studies, libraries, and discussion lists. In each category, the site offers suggested Australian and international resources. The site serves primarily as a pointer to external resources.
- Arizona State University Libraries - Principal facilities located in Tempe, Arizona. The ASU Libraries contain over 3.1 million volumes. Areas of specialization include urban planning, environmental design and architecture; government documents (local, state, federal and United Nations); East Asia; and Chicano collections. The engineering library houses a map collection that dates from 1619. Some of the material is available on line and through inter-library loan. - Underwood Law Library - The Underwood Law Library welcomes as guests members of the general public Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., except during final exams. To enter the library on weekdays after 8:00 p.m., or on weekends, or during final exams, library patrons must present one of the following forms of identification: an SMU ID card, an SMU alumni card, or your attorney bar card. Uniformed messengers and members of DALL or TCALL may also enter the library after 8:00 p.m., or on weekends, or during final exams.
