- Offshore Industry Liaison Committee (OILC) - OILC was formed in 1988 in the aftermath of the Piper Alpha tragedy in which 167 offshore workers were killed. We campaign for better safety and conditions of employment for those who work in the offshore oil and gas industry. In 1992, OILC became a registered trade union since which time 5,000 offshore workers have joined. We produce a range of publications including Blowout Magazine.
