- Cell Biology - Topics by organelle system, as part of the interactive learning program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, AR.
- Cellular Respiration - Overview of biochemistry of energy conversion within the organelle, as part of Kimball's Biology Pages.
- The Cell Page - Put together by a school in Menlo Park, CA, visitors may read the research about each cell organelle. Pages were completed by students.
- Cell Biology - Interactive tutorial for learning the fundamentals of cell biology. Includes cell cycle, mitosis, meiosis, and organelles with tests.
- The Physiome Project - An integrated multi-centric program to design, develop, implement, test and document, archive and disseminate quantitative information and integrative models of the functional behavior of organelles, cells, tissues, organs, and organisms

- Molecular Engineering of Nanosystems - By Edward A. Rietman; Springer-Verlag NY, 2001, ISBN 0387989889. Technical introduction. It is growing possible to manipulate biotic tissues and materials the size of individual cells, organelles, molecules. [Publisher's description.]
- Montreal Proteomics Network - A network of over 75 researchers whose goal is to identify, localize and characterize every protein in every organelle of the mammalian cell.
- Comparative Genometrics - Database of whole genome comparisons. Two genometric analyses are available: the DNA walk and two complementary representations during the initial phase. Primarily focused on prokaryotic genomes but also includes virus, organelles, phages and plasmids.
- Mitochondrial DNA Concordance - Features a cross-referenced list of single nucleotide substitutions in the two hypervariable segments of the mtDNA control region.
Wikipedia Articles
- Compartmentalization (biology) - In biology, compartmentalization is the method intracellular organelles use to isolate different conditions from other organelles. For example, mitochondria and lysosomes are bounded with membranes.
- Microneme - Micronemes are cellular organs, or organelles, possessed by Apicomplexa protozoans. They are specialized secretory organelles.
- Endomembrane system - The endomembrane system is the system of internal membranes within eukaryotic cells that divide the cell into functional and structural compartments, or organelles. Prokaryotes do not have an endomembrane system and thus lack most organelles.
- Protozoal merogony - An asexual reproductive process of protozoa also known as merogony or schizogony. A trophozoite increases in size while its nucleus and other organelles divide repeatedly before cytokinesis.
- Group II intron - Group II intron is a class of intron found in rRNA, tRNA, mRNA of organelles in fungi, plants, protists, and mRNA in bacteria. Self-splicing occurs in vitro (for a few of the introns studied to date), but protein machinery is probably required in vivo.
