- PBS's I, Cringely - PayAcquaintance - Describes an incident of a chargeback scam whereby someone pays for an Everquest item or platinum through Paypal, makes the exchange on the Everquest servers, then tells Paypal that the exchange didn't take place. Paypal then reverses the payment to the seller of Everquest goods, and that person is stuck with nothing. This article also describes how Paypal apparently allows many more accounts than it says are allowed, helping the feedback rating system to be manipulated.
