Wikipedia Articles
- Protistology - Protistology is a scientific discipline devoted to the study of protists. Its field of study overlaps with more traditional disciplines of algology, mycology, and protozoology, just as protists, which, being a paraphyletic group embrace algae, some organisms regarded previously as primitive fungi, and protozoa ("animal" motile protists lacking chloroplasts).
- Conoidasida - Conoidasida is a class of protists. It contains one order, Eucoccidiorida.
- Albuginaceae - Albuginaceae is a family of oomycote protists, but many discriptions still treat the family as a group of fungi.
- Albugo - Albugo is a genus of oomycete protists. The taxonomy of this genus is incomplete, but several species are plant pathogens.
- Alternative oxidase - The alternative oxidase is an enzyme that forms part of the electron transport chain in plants, as well as some fungi, protists and possibly some animals. Sequences similar to the plant oxidase have also been identified in bacterial genomes.
